چکیده

Precipitation products with high resolution for urban areas remain an important and challenging issue. The main purposes of this study are to evaluate the accuracy China Meteorological Forcing Data Set (CMFD) in Shanghai megacity improve CMFD precipitation. With rain gauge observations 2013–2018 period, we error detection ability at sub-daily, daily, monthly scales, examine spatial variation performance over region. Geographic Differential Analysis (GDA) method is used calibrate precipitation data set. results show that varies from sub-daily time scales better scale can capture variability region less north outliers center. GDA-based calibration framework significantly capability products, especially daily scales. calibrated provide reliable estimates more extreme events. improved a key basis applications related hydrological meteorological hazard monitoring assessment area. overall scalable could be readily generalized other regions, product research natural disaster risks studies.

Evaluation of IMERG and TRMM 3B43 Monthly Precipitation Products over Mainland China

As the successor of the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM), the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) mission significantly improves the spatial resolution of precipitation estimates from 0.25 ̋ to 0.1 ̋. The present study analyzed the error structures of Integrated Multisatellite Retrievals for GPM (IMERG) monthly precipitation products over Mainland China from March 2014 to February 20...

Comprehensive Evaluation of Two Successive V3 and V4 IMERG Final Run Precipitation Products over Mainland China

The Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for Global Precipitation Measurement Final Run (IMERGF) product has now been upgraded to Version 4 (V4), which has been available since March 2017. Therefore, it is desirable to evaluate the characteristic differences between the V4 and the previous V3 products. A comprehensive performance evaluation of the errors of the successive V3 and V4 IMERGF prod...

Comprehensive Evaluation of High-Resolution Satellite-Based Precipitation Products over China

Characterizing the errors in satellite-based precipitation estimation products is crucial for understanding their effects in hydrological applications. Six precipitation products derived from three algorithms are comprehensively evaluated against gauge data over mainland China from December 2006 to November 2010. These products include three satellite-only estimates: the Global Satellite Mappin...
